Panel Hearings

The Nurses Board of Victoria has a responsibility under section 75 of the Health Professions Registration Act 2005 to give notice of a determination from a panel hearing on any website maintained by the Board where the registration of a nurse has been suspended or where conditions have been imposed on the registration or endorsement of a nurse.

The Board must also give notice of the determination to a nurse's employer and to the Secretary to the Department of Justice for the purposes of the Working with Children Act 2005.

VCAT

Under section 79 of the Health Professions Registration Act 2005 the Victorian Civil & Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) must notify the Board of any finding or determination of VCAT. The Board must then publish the determination of VCAT in the same way the Board is required to do under section 75.
