CoursesApproved programs leading to registration and endorsementDivision 2 EndorsementThe Nurses Board of Victoria has responsibility under Section 22 (1)(2) of the Health Professions Registration Act 2005 to endorse the registration of nurses to administer medication. Following successful completion of approved units by an approved education provider a division 2 registered nurse can apply to the Nurses Board of Victoria for endorsement on the Register.
Important: Students undertaking these units MUST be registered with the Nurse Board of Victoria as a Division 2 registered nurse prior to enrolment.
PLEASE NOTE: Accreditation for 21506VIC Course in Medication Administration for Division 2 Registered Nurses in Victoria Version 2 ceases on 30 June 2008. The Nurses Board of Victoria has approved until 2013 the following units from the HLT43407 Certificate IV in Nursing to replace the Course.

Division 2 Intravenous Administration EndorsementThe Nurses Board of Victoria has approved the unit of competence HLTEN519A Administer and monitor intravenous medication in the nursing environment until February 2014 for the purpose of intravenous medication administration endorsement for division 2 endorsed registered nurses.
Please Note: This unit of competence is ONLY to be undertaken by those division 2 registered nurses that are currently endorsed with the Nurse Board of Victoria to administer medications by the enteral, topical, subcutaneous and intramuscular routes.
Following is a list of the education providers approved by the Board under the Health Professions Registration Act 2005 to conduct this unit of competence. Prospective students must be aware that they may be eligible to be endorsed to administer intravenous medication following successful completion of the unit only if they have been delivered:
