Additional Qualifications

Nursing is not a static career. We have policies allowing nurses to continue their personal and professional growth.

If a nurse is currently registered or applying for registration in division 1 and has gained a post graduate qualification either accredited by the Board or a qualification equivalent to a Board accredited course, we register additional qualifications on their certificates.

In this way we encourage an already highly professional workforce to expand their knowledge, and absorb contemporary practices in the ever-growing field of healthcare.

In order for your application to be assessed, a completed application form together with the payment of fees must be received by the Nurses Board of Victoria.

Once these have been received, all applications for recognition of an additional qualification must fulfill the requirements of the Board’s current policies for a completed application.
