14-02-2008Following the introduction of the Health Professions Registration Act 2005 midwives in Victoria may be registered in the following ways.
Midwives who have successfully completed an accredited Bachelor of Midwifery qualification may be registered either in general category with restriction to practice midwifery or in specific category.
General division 1 registrants who have completed an accredited postgraduate midwifery qualification, previously recognised as an additional qualification on the register are now recognised as an endorsement in midwifery on the register.
